Stand in darkness

Missing image

Dark the way
 and deep the night;
alone and cold
 I've lost my sight.

The enemies strength
 is all around;
the hatred strong
 and lies abound.

For some may falter
 and some may fall,
but I know my father
 controls it all.

So even in gloom,
 I sha'nt despair;
the presence of God
 is always there.

He fills my mind;
 controls my heart;
The strength he gives
 shall not depart.

For I am a lighthouse
 that won't go out;
I'll drive out fears
 and conquer doubt.

The storms assault
 and the waves assail,
but the power of darkness
 shall not prevail.

    the power of darkness shall not prevall. I love those lines because of how meaningful they are to my current struggles. I've been lost in this feeling of lost hope and helplessness but those two lines remind me who I have in my heart, the Light, the Hope, and the End. Thanks for this, God knew I needed it much

    This was a good write. Most people do not do a good job of depicting God in poetry now a days. I enjoyed reading this. It is a uplifting poem man. I hope to read more of your work as you post.

    I loved this poem , it is very uplifting and inspiring!
    Beautifully written to show us that God is there even in the dark places we find ourselves in!
