a dead man talking

I'm like a dead man talking
to a world without no ears
I'm standing on the bridge
above the rivers of our tears

I'm locked inside these city walls
in a place without no name
as I sit in candle light
I keep feeling so insane

madness has no mercy
for the man who walked the line
mercy holds more madness
as he threads the pin into his arm

as I drive along this road
this road without no light
I keep thinking crazy things
like will this dead man die tonight

the world don't want to hear
that my demons keep on calling
and inside this same old dreams
my thoughts just keep on falling

so the dead man keeps on talking
but the world don't want to hear
about the child who lost his life
and never found his way

Please tell me what you think

The Sean Bean of "in your face" poetry ... wonderful stuff. You express the roughness with a veneer of supressed tenderness that we aren't supposed to see and it is this that captures the reader. Fab!

Paul I like this poem i feel so much and put it up there with God is Calling..my friend know what that means to you and this one just touches deep into my soul. Yet once more your wisdom fills the page and confirms you are one damn fine street poet Paul
