Oh glor’ous light that ends my day,
Caressing as I stand and pray,
And draws me to this dawning year,
While beckoning from far away.
On this day’s morn I stood right here
And dreamed my dreams as light drew near,
Exactly as I’ve always done,
Filled up with hope . . . ‘midst all my fear.
A picture of the rising sun,
As all my birthdays have begun.
Another one at evensong,
Approaching dark’s oblivion.
But somehow life has gone so wrong.
If only I were wise and strong,
And could go back where I belong,
And could go back where I belong.

Dont be offended at this cause you have a natural talent at rhyming while I look like a timid mouse at rhyming. Nevertheless, I loved how this told a story within a story. Keep penning
