The silent scream.

Missing image

Blob of tissue
Fetal matter
Does it matter?
That at eleven weeks into birth
He/she (Fetal matter) is…
A thumb sucking, Limb flailing heart beating
Human being with a brain?
Does it matter that He/she, can sense fear when that
Skewer is inserted into this peaceful Sanctuary,
Raising that Heart beat from 140-200,
He/she has nerves so feels pain
And cowls to the corner in panic
Then the tiny mouth
Opens in a silent scream,

Blob of tissue
Fetal matter
I call you Baby…
Life begins at conception
So spare a thought
When in passion, think of
The what if’s
The justifiable homicide
Of Babies
In buckets
Or black bin liners.
Ask yourself what is worse
Rape or the killing of a baby,
Don’t kill that life for the crime of the father
It’s half yours,
Many empty arms wait to love it.
Abortion…
A tribute to a denied life with
Emotional and physical suffering.

Remember…
“Women have the breathtaking privilege of sharing with God, the creation of new life,
bringing to existence a soul that will ever endure”

The sorrow of Jesus.

THE PRAYER
by Fulton J Sheen

Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

I love you very much.

I beg you to spare the life

of the unborn child

that I have spiritually adopted

who is in danger of abortion.

Author notes

Option 2.Abortion is a big one. I want something that will move me. (Hint--I'm AGAINST abortion)

I do not mean to offend any body, Abortion is either for or against. Every one has their own opion of this subject and i respect that only if you will mine.

the picture is of a child who was aborted at eleven weeks...(Fetal matter/blob of tissue!)

    Wow

That's a message that so many people need to hear. Thank you for addressing an issue that must have been pretty hard to write about. You're right, though. We need to end abortion.

Oh, my goodness... This is so horribly sad! I am pro-life myself, and I don't believe that the baby deserves to die, no matter how s/he is conceived. As a woman, I agree with your quote that we are very privileged to be able to create such beauty as a newborn baby, another life?

I also agree with the lines, "rape is a sin, but so is murder", because it is the truth. Why on earth would you want revenge on someone who is half-yours? It's like destroying a masterpiece, just because you don't want your sibling to have it; Selfish and unnecessary. Rape might be painful to live through, but I'm sure the emotional consequences of abortion are equally hard to come to terms with. I believe that it's only acceptable if there's a high chance that the mother, baby, or both, are going to die in childbirth, in which case it's a safety measure.

Another question I have for the pro-choicers: If a woman has the right to decide what to do with her own body, does she not also have the choice to abstain from lifestyles which may result in unwanted pregnancy? And in the case of rape or assault, how fair is it that someone else decides the fate of this innocent person, whether s/he lives or dies? Consider this: There are some women who can't have children, and I think it's so unfair that those who do have that privilege are so willing to just throw it away on a whim? I say, if you're mature enough to engage in sexual activity, then you must also be mature enough to deal with the consequences.

I don't want to upset anyone, but this is my opinion, and I needed to get that off my chest. Thank you for a beautiful poem, my dear, and congrats on the HM.

    love and light,
    Laura

This is a very powerful poem, and I like how you managed to incorporate so much actual pro-life information. It is indeed a very important message, and THANK YOU for including that picture. Hopefully, this poem will touch many hearts.

As you may have guessed, I am pro-life. My website is at http://www.clinicquotes.com and it has much information, including videos, pictures, articles (some about babies born alive after abortions) and quotes from abortionists that are very telling. I hope you can find it useful.

i wish i had seen this poem a few weeks ago. this is incredibly sad. one of my best friends who lives in another state just had an abortion last week, and i tried to convince her not to. i begged and pleaded. she hasnt told me she did it yet, but she told my sister. and well, i personally dont think i can look at her the same. she knew it was wrong, she told me it was wrong! but she did it anyway. if she had seen this picture....maybe she wouldnt have.....but idk....anywho good poem. really touching. love it.

    good luck!

Wow that is so powerful, and honestly I agree with you. I do think however that abortion because of rape is something that is really hard, if not impossible, to understand if you haven't experienced it yourself... but pushing aside my views, this poem pulls at the heartstrings and effectively paints a picture we do not often see. My favorite part was that last stanza...
    "Remember…
“Women have the breathtaking privilege of sharing with God, the creation of new life,
bringing to existence a soul that will ever endure”
    The sorrow of Jesus"
It is a very striking perspective and beautifully captured image. I love this poem!

I have read almost every comment becuase i wanted to see what others where saying and on the most part i have to agree with them. but i can never agree on taking the life of a child . because if you believe in God then you know that there is a soul purpose for your life and no matter how you concieved this child there was a reason for the happening. Ever person in this world was born with a purpose. Now what if you decide to take matters in your own hands and do away with God's work. What have you become? Just like the lady that said that she had often wished that some of her foster kids had not been born. How can you say that? I know there are women out there that have been raped and gotten pregnant but who's fault is that. not the mothers or the child. so if you can't stand to see the baby give it to someone thatwill love it. because it was meet to have a life. And as you said , as a woman we are given the chance to give life as God does. why take that for granted. who are we to say who lives and dies? It's like murder right.... People go to prison for murder. If you kill something with a heart beat and don't think you have commited murder then you must restudy the term. and i read that you were forced to give up your child and as a child you had know choice and you can't be held responsible. God knows the truth and I think you will be commend on the outreach of your poetry. I think that the people that think that it's ok to do this , should set back and think if there life was done this way. If they were never born .... then they might see that everyone deserve a chance.thank you very much for sharing your work with us all and being brave enough to write this....

This write has a strong emotional impact on the reader. This also a statement of faith. I have seen the silent scream. It is very graphic in nature. I feel you done a good job in this write. It very direct in nature. Yes, it is true that many women have suffer from their mistake in many ways and for many years after it done. I knew one young lady had it after being rape. Then years later settle down and married. Then she found out after years of trying she could not have children. That it had left scarring and other issues that could not be corrected. it sad for these women to live though. I feel you have done well with a complex subject in today society. The background goes very well with the write.

I applaud your passion & conviction of faith

I appreciate your opinion. One can only admire your strength and conviction. Your author's note was well conceived... whoops (no pun intended). I myself don't believe all things can be governed by drawing unwavering lines between right and wrong, good and evil. There are too many gray areas...circumstances of misfortune, woeful deeds, unfit parents, poverty, illness. True, life must never be taken for granted but there differing qualities of life; some of which we can never understand because we can not fully put ourselves in those shoes. To negate a healthy unborn child solely for reasons of inconvenience or impropriety is abhorred. To negate a life of suffering, starvation or neglect is a painful decision I hope never to have to make.
    Best to you, Kj

    Outstanding!

Seldom have I read anything that struck home to me with such power!...Tears welled up inside me as I remembered my twin babies who were aborted by my then wife without my consent or knowledge...needless to say it drove a wedge between us that never healed...my twins would be 6 years old now and have almost completed their first year at school...they were a boy and girl as I was told!...so you will understand how much this poem means to me...I dont think I have ever grieved properly for them and sometimes it becomes too much for me and I just cry thinking of what I missed!...My mind is unable to grasp how anyone can harm these precious gifts from God...all I know is that they are with my Mother on the other side of Life and are being cared for as well as I was by her and one day I hope to be reunited with them and know the love they have to share!...thank you for writing this wonderful piece...it touched my very core!...love Dan xxx

i get quite annoyed at people who simply reiterate that abortion is 'immoral' without explaining why

the fetus doesn't get a voice but here, we look into its mind.

i'm all for abortion being available. if the pregnancy is dangerous to mother and child, for instance, or if the child is born at a bad time for the mother (I work with children in foster care, and gross and terrible it may seem, but I have sometimes wished a child had never been born, seen him or her so damaged by the life they were born into, that damage betimes irreversable...)

however, this reminds us that there is a cost...

I have also seen what these children have suffered, one who has cut every part of her body because she couldn't cope with the fact that her parents coached her into having an abortion at the tender age of sixteen. This girl has lived with this for twent two years and not only has she lost the child but her self and her family. She can't keep a realationship. i do respect your views thanx for listening to mine. i know your work is very daunting, my sister works the same job, i myself have fostered two children in the past. I also have a friend who adopted a child witn ceryble palsey who was a survivour of abortion, yes its true, it hapens alot...God had the say whiether or not she lived!

YES! The women of today need to know the truth about abortion. Thank you for being brave and putting this out there, with the knowledge that you might receive harsh reviews. The biggest contributor to the crisis of abortion is ignorance. If these women understood that these are babies and not lumps of flesh, then I can assure you, their hearts would not be so cold as to kill a child. They simply don't know. Thanks again for writing this!
