Give And Take

write it down.
make it rhyme.
no real reason.
just an exercise in numbness.
the snow never stopped falling.
the sun never set.
on that day that i was born it all came to an end.
drink your sorrows from inside your walls.
but you''ll never know how deep this well goes.
coax the angel.
pluck its wings.
but flight isn't about height.
it's about seeing everything.
i couldn't forget, even if i tried.
wouldn't really want to.
but that doesn't mean i ever believed in anything other than what the moment offered.
you know, if you can't have, it's not so bad just to give.
sometimes.
sometimes it isn't.
it might leave you with less, but maybe that's just what i wanted.
it might leave me with less every time, but maybe that's exactly what i had in mind.
life is just a series of devils disguised as angels.
a lot of wishes that get sent off to stars that are deaf.
i know my limits.
i know them because i've been there often.
some people, what they can't get, they tend to give.
because sometimes just a little interaction is all they ever wanted
