Thread

Thread

The needle of my love, threaded with my soul.
I need you by my side and never let me go.
I carefully entwined; our hearts to make a whole.
When I become your bride, I want you to know,
a seamstress of a kind; that is my life’s roll.
I promise to provide, the thread of love to sew.
We’re certainly not poor and know we aren’t rich.
I’ll keep us sewn together with a binding stitch.

This is very good. When I read it the second time it seemed the middle rhymes are softer than they actually are meant to be. It is not good or bad I just noticed it. Very good like always. You had to be an A student in school.

    Love It!

Great job!! The whole thing sounds great, and has tons of feeling, i can tell this comes from your heart, keep it that way. Poems that aren't from the heart i don't know if they are poems at all. But this one is amazing, and you used your heart.

    Another Amera Wow

In my book the 3 fates are speaking about the severing of life, the seamstress in that speaks of a variation on what you speak of, quite the binding stitch that in reverse has charmed. The maker of love is a biological effort, and in this piece, two are knitting together quite admerably. There is so much warmth of heart. That is usually mssing in works of this nature, excellent.

Thanks so much Titus. You're right, I haven't seen another love poem done in Ottava Rima. Wonderful comment.
