There is angel blessed,
to guide my whisper's sigh to season,
and in my life to find in passion,
a soul to move away from fear,
I have seen her face in dream
as feathered voice inside my shadow,
stretching wing,
across my Canyon's open heart
to sing as echo
in wilder walls
of sponge absorbing song to simmer.
I am ready for that moment
when vision spins
in effervescent silk
of wind to turn in Spring's first kiss,
her tear unwrapping satin eyes
to say hello inside my secret.
She is trail,
my Heaven's way of simple longing
for that first chance to breath in blossom,
with me to move
inside her darkness,
a light
to laugh inside our bubble.
For it is easy to be lonely,
when love is closer than the stars,
but further than a diamond drop
of morning dew on velvet petal,
dripping name,
as rain to rap on rustic rooftop
stroking shingles
to Rhythm's backrub
mesmerizing motion's meltdown,
waiting to be softly noticed
in shyer glance of tranquil sound
to crave in wonder,
all things beautiful
in one sweet moment
reaching out to hand surrendered.

I don't usually copy parts of a poem in my comments, but those lines are so amazing.... I understand it so well. And the way it leads up to the final line "reaching out to hand surrendered". Love is such a strange thing, yet so very easy....all we have to do is to take the "hand surrendered". Wonderful, gentle touch here, poet man and beautiful poetry.

Sighhh...God, this is so beautiful, my Friend. Lovingly, elegantly penned, dear Scribe...& who would not surrender their hands to such sweet sentiments??? Good luck in the contest, Sweetie.
