Food for Thought (repost for contest)

It is I,
    the muse…
I have returned,
    once again…

This time,
    not with a message…
But with food for thought,
    and a test…

We have all heard,
    all throughout our lives,
          of what is Good,
              and of what is Evil…

I now propose a test,
    to you,
To test
    your free will,
          vs.
    your intuitions…

Many have been taught
    that their instincts and intuitions
          were evil,
              and
          their free will,
              is the way of the light,
                    to counteract that evil…

Think back,
    if you will,
          over your lifetime…
Think of all
    the positive and negative
          occurrences,
              that have happened…

Now, think of the times
    in which
          you did or did not
              follow your instincts…

Notice the pattern
    that emerges…

Now ask yourself these questions…
Did following my intuitions
    result in positive, or negative results?
Did following my free will,
    against my intuitions,
          result in positive, or negative results?

Now that you have pondered
    at least a few of the answers,
          (no need to stop here with just a few)

Which appears now to be
    the positive, or Good, influence?
And which appears to be
    the negative or Evil influence,
          within your life,
              your intuitions, or your free will?

    which is truly the Evil influence?
