Relization

A bible in one hand, a pen in the other
I think back to all those things that once made me suffer
The bitter tasting liquid that always burnt my throat
Crowned alcoholic by the words I often spoke
The sensation of my skin splitting, all to tempting
The designs that lined my body, simply chilling
The name,"cutter", was presented to me by the two-edged sword
One I could have prevented, one I should have scorned
thrown into a cage by no fault of my own
Remembering and thinking of the ones at home
A wave of sadness washed over my heart
For far to long I've resided in the dark
Overwhelmed and exhausted, I fall to my knees
Crying out, hoping God would hear my pleas
The tears they roll, steadily down my cheek
Physicaly and emotional I've come to my peak
I'm lost and I'm tired, I just want to go home
To everyone and everything I had once known
Seek and you shall find
THat one phrase kept running threw my mind
But yet, I still feel a sort of bind
At wits end I begin to pray
For God to take all my pian away
to give me peace, and give me rest
To help me out of this horrible mess
To forgive me, and clense my soul
To make my heart once again whole
I seeked and seeked and did not give up
Not until I was given my full cup
Then it all came at once
The power I felt made my worldly walls bust
Umble and weak, I lay myslef down at His feet
In the position where my hands and knees meet
Just like that, in God's presence I stayed
Allowing Him to revaluate the life I had made
Once He was done, I numbly stood
With this new state of mind, i now understood
Obsticles and boulders will line my life
No time soon can I expect no strife
But strength and courage is what I'll gain
With God guiding me through this game
So as I go through this life I now know what to do
