This is very sweet. I had a horrible relationship with my dad, lol, so it's hard for me to relate, but there's a part of me that wishes it was me who had written this piece, and to get that kind of emotional reaction out of me is a good thing

Excellent choice for a hero!
We all look for heroes in our lives. Sometimes we look too far when they can be found in our families and circle of friends. I am certain your father must be pleased to know how his daughter regards him. Fathers sometimes are not aware how much their efforts are appreciated.

Don't do drafts Write down what you feel or what you're thinking about, that's the best poetry in my opinion.
I think it's a good poem, it's original and it's cute that your dad is your hero
The best bit of the poem are the first 2 strophes :
