The pitter patted on the roof,
tells me that its still raining.
And my drink of ninety proof,
I think needs no explaining.
Times like this when I’m alone,
my mind comes back to you.
And the rhythm of the falling rain,
brings back the things we use to do.
All the games that we would play,
Cuddled close to keep us worm.
The love light shinning in your eyes,
Making love to match the storm.
Lord,, how I love a rainy day.
