He was only two
Everyone loved him
And everyone knew
He would soon be gone
But nothing prepared us
For that sad day
It felt as if our hearts
Were all ripped away
Away to heaven
We sent this sweet boy
We cried as his mom
Lay with him his favorite toy
He was much to small for his age
His bones never grew
But his heart and other organs
Knew what to do
He stretched out that morning
Close to his mother's heart
Never again to breath
It tore her apart
The doctor said his heart
Was too large for it's frame
They buried him in a few days
His whole family came
Everyone remembers
None can forget
He was still tiny enough
To fit in a bassinet
He saved our family
Brought us together
We miss him so
And so we will forever

This is beautiful and soooooo heartfelt!! I know these feelings only too well!! My 9 month old niece died, during my High School Graduation. And I have recently lost one very, very near and dear to me. and it is sooooooo painful and hurts like nothing else in this world!
Best of luck in the contest!
