Let Him Take You In

When pressure gets you down,
you feel like you will drown,
lift your eyes and hands up high.
Give up all your worries with a sigh!

Our good Lord above will listen,
Remember he suffered for our sin.
Look on Him to take the burden,
lift you up and take you in!

When your heart feels sad and broken,
hand it over to our Lord, as a token
of your faith, love and dedication.
Sing His praises with devotion!!

Our good Lord above will listen,
Remember he suffered for our sin.
Look on Him to take the burden,
lift you up and take you in!

Life may not be a bed of roses,
Others have turned up their noses,
Embrace the problem and permit
God to take control, and deal with it.

Our good Lord above will listen,
Remember he suffered for our sin.
Look on Him to take the burden,
lift you up and take you in!

This is well written with a wonderful message. I seem to find this type of poetry these days extremely comforting. It is true he died for our sins and we are never alone. He walks with us every step of the way. WE just need to keep the faith. Well penned poet. Well penned. Best of luck to you in the contest.

"Look on Him to take the burden,
lift you up and take you in!"
The repetition of these two lines really brings this sense of peace home. Even though, as a Christian I know these things and even write them as a poet myself, it helps a lot to read them from another. Thank you for the lift today!

    AWESOME!

I love this, alot! I was really hoping someone would enter in this option and I'm glad you did, you're the first after about fifteen or so poems. Not that I'm biased, but this one was just very uplifting. Leaving me feeling embraced and peacefully wrapped in His love. Thank you for entering, I wish you the best of luck. The repitition really helped, I like. Keep up the great work. God bless.

Dearest Onyx my eyes watered at your words. Thank you so very much. My intention when I write about the Lord is to move with His spirit and His will and to uplift others in the knowledge of His love. God bless and keep you always
