The road in front of me is twisting,
Leading me to a place I haven't seen in so long;
Home.
It's been years since I've seen it,
Yet the images live so vivid in my mind.
Piles of snow and towering evergreens,
Look over the town like a protector.
The good times this little town holds,
Make me so eager to return.
Thoughts of late nights playing kick the can,
And hide and seek dance through my head.
As I sit in the passenger's seat,
A slow smile spreads across my face,
Because with each twist in the road
I get a little closer to a lovely place I call
Home.
