Yes!
I am beautiful.
And yes!
I am strong.
Yes!
I am worthy
Of your praise and your love
In this world I do belong
I am not a doll,
Not just a pretty face,
I am a woman damn it!
Full of more than grace!
Yes!
I do have feelings,
At times I do have fears
But I am too a human,
And I can dry my own tears.
Yes!
At times I need assistance,
Sometimes I want to quit,
But I push on ward,
For myself, in spite of it
Yes!
I have apprehensions
Yes!
Sometimes I fail
But I am a woman
And that is better than being a male

YEESSSSSS!!!!! Now this so grabbed me out of my chair. Write on sister, write on. WE are a hell of a lot more than the male population gives us credit for being. But, without us they'd be drifting in the dark. Girl, I can't say how much I love this poem. It should be read aloud to an audience.

although most of your poem successfully attempts at trying to resist stereotypes of the irrational/emotional woman, the last two lines seem to go astray: yes, you are a woman, but by saying that it's better than being a male, you're hindering the construction of equality between men and women and everyone else in-between. you are indeed human, and i think that is what is most important.
the "Yes!" lines encourages chanting, which is nice. it was the last two lines that drew me away. overall, however, your poem promotes growth in the number of people who will try to eradicate, or at least lessen the strength of, gender stereotypes.
