A flower

A flower;
A delicate, aromatic part of Mother Nature.
I watch it's fragile, whimsical petals sway in the wind,
As the roots hug the ground.
The elegant, graceful form dances,
As the currents of the wind slow
Into a gentle, tranquil breeze
A bee arriving in search of nectar
Flows from one flower to the next,
Fertilizing the field,
And creating new life.

Author notes

I think I am proud of this poem. I had to write it for language arts, so I though I'd might as well post it. I hope you like! Please leave a comment, and give me criticism. Option 14

Very beautifully wrote and I can relate to this. The imagery is pretty, reminds me of a poem I wrote about a Rose.

      Awesome!
I remember reading a poem about a rose by somebody but I couldn't remember who it was by and I LOVED it by I can't remember who is was by, I only remember that she had "rose" in her screenname then something about sympathy, or SOMETHING like that. You might know her.

At first, I wasn't going to post it, because it was just something we has to do for language arts, but I felt proud enough of it, and I was just inspired by it, that I knew I had to post it. You are too sweet!

lol You can call me Lynne! The 'jess' part is just a random thing lol. My sister thought it was way too wordy, and I should simplify it, but my mom liked it, and you apparently do too, so I'm glad I kept it this way. Yes, I got a 100, because we made a poetry book, and this was a poem I included.

    How Beautiful

I remember when i was your age...and I wrote beautiful things that made adults wonder if I was really a child at all! Please take this as a compliment...you my dear are extremely gifted! Only a gift could produce such beauty in words....This poem made me feel warm and loved.....made me think of childhood, and yes a beautiful bumble bee.....i love the feel of this poem so tranquil...keep up the good work, and to be so young you seemingly have mastered the art of words..and that is a huge weight to carry at your age...but I think you will do fine with it all.

Thank you so much you are a beautiful person! I is like nothing but compliments with you! I haven't heard a bit of criticism on the poems yet! maybe i'm better than i thought i was yay i made you feel loved! well, for the 20 minutes i've known who you are, you seem very sweet. Such a wide vocabulary. Anyways about the poem it makes such a simple thing so complex. Shows all the small details. Then at the end you throw in a connection to life. Brilliant.

      You make me smile everytime!!

How'd you get to be so sweet!? I know because I wrote down words describing a flower, and then, i decided i needed more mature words, so i replaced some of them. I know! I decided, most people will just say it smells pretty. they don't look at the depth of it, it's so much more than that. How'd you get so nice, lol. Thank you so much.... you mean so much more to me than you will ever know!!
