Beautiful Skin

The Girl smiles as she comes closer,
her skin is green, red and purple.
Quite beautiful she is.

Her smile shines with silver,
it blinds me.

She has her mothers face close to her heart,
i can see that they are similar.

As the needle pierces my skin over and over,
with pain making me numb,
the beautiful color of red is dripping,
so many colors.

As she traces and traces over the same wound,
i can't feel the pain anymore.

This goes on for hours and i can feel the pain in my hips and ribs.
She tells me it will all be over soon,
comforting...

I close my eyes tight with one last sqeeze and its all over.
she wipes the blood off and tells me i can relax.

I open my eyes and there it is,
the beautiful wings of an angel as i look into the mirror.

I pay the lady and thank her for my tattoo and walk away...
