My Li'l Ray Of Sunshine

Ambling through the dark alleys of sorrow,
Unceasingly flowed my teary brine,
Had lost all hope of a happy tomorrow,
If it hadn't been for you, my li'l ray of sunshine;

Joy, pleasure had lost all meaning,
No possession, no emotion considered mine,
No word can expound what I was feeling,
But then you entered my life, my li'l ray of sunshine;

Had long forgotten what was meant by bliss,
Fate had crafted my way - awry designs,
A piece of my jigsaw was always amiss,
Until you came my way, my li'l ray of sunshine!

    ok

    ok this has absolutely nothing to do with what the criteria of my contest is. this is feeling none the less but it has nothing at all to do with looking into someones eyes and the feeling that you get there as. it's a good poem yes, but i can't let you stay in my contest for not meeting my criteria. i'm sorry.

    The rhyme is great, and the lightheartedness is lovely. I would work a little bit on the rhythm. Try reading it out loud to see where it is lyrical and where it flows less well. Lovely poem.
