I will never forget how I cried,
When I found out that you had died,
All I wanted to do was crawl & hide,
I wanted all of the pain to subside,
I held on to faith to be my guide,
But My hopes & dreams began to slide
For everyone who said "everythings ok" lied...
My pain & agony started grow,
But I want you to always know
That our friendship will always show,
Through the high & the low,
There is no easier way,
For me to say...
No more Choir plays,
No more "everythings okays"
For I have to go on living today,
I have to at least give it a try,
To get over the pain & let it lie,
Smile even if I want to sigh,
For I don't want my spirit to die,
Although there will be countless times I'll cry,
Sometimes I think of why...
I was the one that had to say good-bye.

this is such a very sad poem. that is how I felt when I lost my fiance this year. In January. I know it's been eight months now since he's passed but I am still grieving pretty hard. I hope that you stay strong for yourself. Keep up the good work.

Sara Dawn Williams, My eyes are moist right now after reading this one. I know you and I truly relate with so much grief stricken lives. You really seem to be strong to be so young. I do admire that about you. Thank you so much for looking up to me as an inspiration, that is such a beautiful compliment that a writer can have. I am really impressed with all who consider myself as an inspiration. I never look at myself that way so I guess that's why it's hard to accept. Through all your great comments on so many of my poems, I feel like I am truly blessed to have you and others that enjoy my work. I don't think they lied to you, What I think is: They are trying to let you know that this pain will ease up. That's all , OK ??
I know right now at this very minute it doesn't seem that way. But sweetie I've lost a few VERY dear people t me as well. In my opinion, The worst thing in the world is to lose someone you love. It will get a better. However, It will always be with you, But it won't have the NUMBER one effect in your life. I pray with all my heart that your pain will ease. I love you sweetie. HUGS !
