The words of that song I thought would never end,
For You adored that song...that I know,
But It reminded of the day you had to go,
This song without a doubt made your day,
But I never again wanted to hear it play,
For I could hear you singing this song you knew,
And how your smile would be there shining so true,
I Miss You Vicki more than you know,
This song that made your wonderful smile show,
It makes me cry for I want to see you,
But I know you can't so I try to sing too.
I try to be happy for you want me to be,
So I sing this song for you & me,
My angel this poem is your song that I made,
For I will show others how your heart played.
Author notes
I was listening to the radio when one of Vicki's Favorite Songs came on the radio...to make it worse, It was also played at her Funeral... It was called "Angel" by Sarah McLaughlin... also sung by this artist is "I will Remember You" that I had heard on Father's Day which was also played at her funeral.

Two of Jessie's favoriet songs were played at her funeral, and to tell you the truth...at first I never wanted to hear them either, but I remembered how she smiled and would sing, and how happy she was...so I often find comfort in listening to the songs now. Its weird.

Here are my favorite lines, VERY VERY well written,
Your favorite song was playing today my friend,
The words of that song I thought would never end,
For You adored that song...that I know,
But It reminded of the day you had to go,
This song without a doubt made your day,
But I never again wanted to hear it play,

That is part of the magic of music.( I can't listen to Metallica, without seeing my son play 'air guitar') But, in time, maybe not tomorrow or a year from now, you'll hear that song, and remember. It'll be bitter-sweet, but I pray the smiles out weigh the tears. ~~~Val

EXCELLENT
This is EXCELLENT Sara Dawn. I'm so glad I immediately came over to see. My dad used to call me everyday and with his deep voice leave me a message, "It's a beautiful day. Love Dad." The big red zero on my answering machine while he was on life supports with (COPD & CHF) 46 days then after he died was that BIG RED ZERO would cause me to burst into tears. Also, popular at the time was the song by Stevie Wonder, "I just called to say I LOVE YOU. I just called to say how much I care. I just called to say I LOVE YOU. And I mean it from the bottom of my heart." I'm in tears now because I know exactly what you mean. I'd be sobbing as that song played each day I drove 30 min. drive to visit my dad in MICU. i'm going to print out for my neighbor Vicki. Godspeed and best wishes 24/7

I know how u're feeling, even the little things remind us of the person we have lost. Whenever you hear the song in future, think of all the good times that you and Vicki shared and then you'll think of the happy memories
Keep your head held high and stay strong
much love my friend
