87-Rose Bud

Missing image

You called me Rose Bud when we met

It made me feel secure

My body lie dainty in your arms

But I would soon mature

At first you treated me good

Enjoyed the fragrance of my soul

You treasured me with fondness

As I bloomed to nature's mold

As you tried to peel the petals

You tore my heart into

You tired of a simple rosebud

And wanted someone new

Leaving me alone with petals torn

To wither up and cry

While you search for another rose

I will slowly die
