Where did it go
that curl of the lips, which once I saw in the mirror?
Strange,
it was there yesterday or was it the day before?
Now I remember,
slipped off my face,
got wet from too many tears.
Lying on the ground
looking so pathetic,
stretch out so much from being trampled upon,
probably doesn't even fit any longer.
That's okay,
for the sun is shining
and I can create another one,
this time I'll paste it on using the glue of forgiveness
along with some special additive,
called tomorrow's rainbows.
They do come you know,
rainbows I mean,
ever so beautiful and extra full of colorful hope
right after a storm of ache drowns our spirit.
Then a smile seems extra wide
because we know how bad weather is just
a passing moment of dark moisture
watering the garden of life.
