It's people like you that make life so grand,
in my heart and mind you will remain.
You've been such a faithful and wonderful friend,
always helping me through my sorrows and pain.
You are always someone that I can depend on,
your words are so sincere and true.
I am so glad that I have you in my life,
I can't thank you enough for all that you do.
Whenever my world comes crashing down,
you assure me that everything will be all right.
You help me back up on my feet again,
and help me find my way back to the light.
You help me to ease my frustrations and doubt,
you give me the inspiration to keep moving on.
You comfort me with your warm embrace,
encouraging me to be humble and strong.
You always seem to find a way to make me smile,
Your words are always so soothing and sweet.
You know the only road that leads to my heart,
It is your love that makes my life complete.
A true friend is what I have found in you,
and I want you to know that you mean so much to me.
You've never doubted the person that I am,
you've always accepted me wholeheartedly.
With every step that I take I want you to know,
that I am more confident today than I ever was before.

Someone who is always there for us through it all.
This poem is dedicated to that special person who makes life so wonderful and joyous every day. Someone who not only shares in our trials and tribulations but, helps us to find the solutions and tranquility that we need to survive. That someone we come to call a true friend.

... very beautiful simple words to understand with flawless flow in a well structured poem that rhymes with perfection... I can see the winning streak as clear as daylight shinning through these lines... I don't stand a chance against such entries, but again, I can sure try to enter one

Sounds like your friend is the “go-to” person when encouragement is needed. I see the poem has already won Gold. It reads just the tiniest little bit uneven to me but if it were mine, I probably wouldn’t change a thing. Good look with the contest.
