I love it when my man
Will try really, really hard
To completely win me over,
And throw me off my guard.
It does seem pretty silly
How he will do anything
Just to get my attention,
Love is a CRAZY good thing!
He is my superman,
And I’m his kryptonite;
I am his own fair maiden
And he’s my shining knight.
He’s always there for me,
When I’m down he picks me up.
When I see the world “half empty”
He comes and fills my cup.
It always makes me laugh when,
In his off tune voice, he sings,
“I love this girl like nothin’ else”
Love is a CRAZY good thing!
He can be soft and tender,
And tamer than a lamb;
But sometimes he shows off,
And looks like a big, ol' ham.
I love the way he loves me,
He is my everything;
And all this while I tell myself,
“Love is a CRAZY good thing!”

i didn't recall that big ole ham part of this...when i read that this evenin', I accidentally swollowed my french fry to hard, and now i can't get it out of my nose...lol...that was hilarious! -
i like reading this one right after i read the bloody one...its almost like this one is the 'facade' over the other one...bla bla bla...its like you staged this one after completely scaring the [insert four letter word of your choice here] out of all of your faithful commenters in the one you wrote before it...bla bla bla...I think I will need to study some phsycology before i write my book...your too messed up...but you know, your absolute insanity brings out the best in you!!! bla bla bla...

Aww, I love this write! I love the happy-go-lucky feel you have going on through the whole thing, and I like the personal-like thoughts you have going on in here...such as him singing to you...and him hamming it up in front of you. It sounds like it would be inside jokes almost. You made this very believable, so I was surprised that it wasn't about anyone in particular. We all could use someone like this in our lives, though!

It has a natural flow - and has a great melodic beat to it as I read it over and over .
Maybe you should write some music to this one too.
But seriously this is really a neat poem filled with a lot of energy and feelings !

This was almost overwhelmingly happy after reading your last poem, which I read again today...its like the exact antithesis...but I liked them both...its awesome how you can just write in any mood you feel like, and it still comes across good...however,lol, your darker side still comes across stronger to me for some reason...but I definitely enjoy your light side...sweet write...Oh and that line about the cup was really clever...
