Ill-considered ambitious path,
Brought down to appease a nation's wrath,--
What solution was this? What lofty goal
Was accomplished to cleanse the soul?
Justice divine, such we thought,
But consider the deaths that we have wrought.
And does the burning bush appear
To childless mothers to quell their fear?
Nay, I say, for it grants some gold
In hopes that we forget the untold
News from abroad, our sons, their toil,
So that we may keep pumping alien oil.
But my memory not so quickly fades,
I will recall all this, in spades,
The next time to the ballot reply:
The reign of terror shall die.

This was pretty good. The only thing I didn't agree with was the end, because I don't really believe that voting can solve our problem- only change the system that causes our problems just enough to make us feel like our opinion is important- when we only have 2 opinions to choose from- one if you don't believe in capitalism
