The bravery in me
Is like the idiotic squirrel,
The one who sprints into the street
A split second before the black car wheel
Kisses its bushy gray tail.
Four out of Five times,
That squirrel makes it safely
To the aimed sidewalk.
The fifth time,
It travels its final journey.
This is me,
Impulsive and wild
Willing to bet my greatest fate
To show my 'Courage',
Yes,
But mostly to entertain.
My bravery is my jest,
And my jest is my life.

Blow Me Away!
I am at a loss of words for this poem yet I am absolutely amazed at the quality and depth of this poem of yours. I love it alot! you really penned this in a very unique way that I understand clearly and understandably and any ways just an excellent write. I really love how you penned this. I could clearly see the squirrel shaking its little paws in the air and makin weird sounds in upscene gestures cuz it was almost killed and well that 5th time I can see its angelic self just smiling and laughin at its stupidity as God opens the Heavens up and allows the squirrely to come to him. any ways nice poem and keep it up

wowowowowowowowowowowowow
this is a very great poem...and yet the word great seems to undermine it...even amazing still doesn't compare to what you have written...this is one of the most excellent poems that i have ever read and it was one of the few joys that I've had today...this piece really is something to be proud of. You should give yourself a pat on the backi and take a bow

This is great!!!!!! That is one I hadn't thought of! You did a great job on this one! I wonder how many of us are like the squirrel? In their bravery or silliness or whatever.. Nice choice! Thanks for taking me up on the challenge!
