the Devil inside

They said in church the devil is mean
he'll tell you you're fat
when really you're lean
so what is this man, a deciever they say
so what happens when you lie to yourself every day?

you look in the mirror and what do you see?
someone that makes you say " i wish this weren't me
Maybe your eyes to close
or maybe your blessed with an extremely large nose
you tell yourself your ugly and gross
and think you'd be better off as a ghost

And this my friend is the devil inside
he rips up your heart and eats at your mind
he'll take the good and replace it with mad
stab at your feelings till your depressingly sad
the image you see in the mirror isnt really you
the devil has fixed your eyes to make you see what you do

Do not let this figmant conjour your imagination
i think it is time for confrontation
look yourself in the eye
and get rid of all those fake made up lies
and tell the devil your proud of who you are
and away he will go to somewhere very far

    Quick Fix

In stanza one - line two, you really need to watch your homophones. Case in point: YOUR AND YOU'RE(contraction of you are)
