If it weren’t for the young
whose eyes can see
someone who's grateful
for a comment from me~
Or someone whose day isn’t
going too well
and needing a word
Only greetings will tell~
If it weren’t for the mom
or dad who could write
in poetry’s calm
what children are like~
There’d be no reason to
carry this on
the page would be empty
And all of us-gone.
