to thine own self be true

as you walk down
the inner road
of your soul
you must be
true to yourself
for if this can not be
when you feel the need
to lie to yourself
what does that prove
by the end of your journey
you forget who everyone is
including yourself
so when you next look into the mirror
see yourself as others see you
for then you just may be on the right or left road
as you walk

I think this poem didn't stay with a particular motion. It seemed to go really fast...but then went down about 20 notches.

I like your words, strong words. I like the way you wrote it..but I think the whole thing would be strong if you rearrange some of the words, put some commas..stuff like that.

Even though the words are strong..when you read it in such a way, they seem to lack their essence.

    Keep it up!

This is so true. Some people don't see the good in themselves as others can. If only they could see what their friends see. It is so sad to see someone who is so wonderful but who has such a low self-esteem. This is another awesome write from a brilliant mind.

Great write. People should always be themselves and stay true to themselves and to others. This makes me think of how I see some people behave a certain way around some people who are friends or their partners and I wonder why they feel they have to be different around different people. Makes me wonder if people like that just aren't comfortable with themselves or something. I think it's best if everyone just stays real. Anyway, great write. Good luck in the contest.

I love the message you have for this write but in a minute way, without punctuation here and there in just a couple of spots, this appears to be a long run-on sentence (don't be offended). Wisdom in itself, derives(sorry if misspelled) from many different angles and your write speaks that. Thank you for entering, good luck and keep penning
