When It's Over

There are some days that are harder than all the others...

Days when triggers are pulled to unloaded guns.

Days when getting out of bed is the biggest accomplishment and hardest thing to do.

Days when the phone rings and picking it up is just too much.

Days when memories and faces drowned you in your own thoughts.

Days when putting on a fake smile isn't nearly enough to convince everyone you're ok.

Days when saying, "I love you" feels so empty.

Days when the man you love can walk out the door and you won't even turn around to say goodbye.

Days when all the pills and all the therapists could never bring you through.

Days when you know that making it till tomorrow will be a miracle...

Today is one of those days.

Happiness disappears a lot faster than it appears.
