to see if i could find you
i got lost on my way back
from seeing if i could find you
i jump into the psychic sea
to try and find my dreams
i'm not lost when i'm by myself
cause i'm with my only friend
i went to the acid sea
i tried to find the bay
but i came back with a hurting girl
i hope she heals some day
i went to the acid sea
to try and color my dreams
i went there all alone
coming home ain't what it seems
(talking now)
maybe when we're on our own
when we take a trip
it's really coming home
cause sometimes where you live
isn't really where you breathe
(singing again)
i took a trip away
away from the acid sea
i took a vehicle there
i killed it with my dreams
Author notes
thank you gorillaz, you reminded me of the poetry in being a burnout. not that i ever did drugs myself, but the acid sea is definatley what you think.
on an inside note, the bay is not actually a body of water, but that bit is a tribute to one of my friends who keeps getting her emotions twised around. i hope i didn't embarass her.
and if anyone noticed i comitted vehicular homocide in that last stanza. i thought it was funny and if you didn't i don't care. nyaaa
i wanted to use the picture as a background, but then you couldn't read the poem, so i did what i did.
also, don't do drugs.
In a list
swimming anyone

psychic sea was supposed to be PSYCHadelIC sea, but psychadelic has too many syllables, so i said, whatever, it's my fucking song, i can do what i damn well feel with it.
of course heinlein said the same thing after his stroke, and started writing a lot of really bad stuff, and ignored all his editors. but, being heinlein, the stuff sold anyway.
oh well, no telling where it will lead
