They all seem to be with you
Fluttering around you
Butterflies finding a sweet source of nectar
But you are alone
Emotionless flower
With eyes made of ice
And a soul carved from snow
You touch each one, lifeless
They don't seem to notice
Except for a beautiful fear in their hearts
The black of your night
Without even the moon
To hold you, inspire you
Then leave you alone
You shine with the night
The fluttering stars
They sparkle glow brilliant before dying out
They're drawn into you
To die and be frozen
Add more to your silence
Your beauty alone
Author notes
I used the word flutter if you couldn't tell It inspired me to the fluttering of snow, and the coldness of that made this poem.

Hey, isn't that the same person in the picture for your Lithium poem?
How spiffy, you used this poem to write about the picture and snow. That's pretty cool. Just like outside right now. It's snowing, believe it or not!
Anyway, lovely write!

I love the dark tone and how you associated it with the word "flutter" You made me see the word in a different light..Uniqueness is such a wonderful thing...

Wow. The poem itself is delightful, but the choice of images made it all the more perfect. Best of luck in the contest. ~Jim
