Sometimes he acts as if he wants her too.
But she always feels like this love can't be true.
And she always calls at just the wrong time
And he always seems like he's sending mixed signs.
Sometimes she quits, and lies to herself.
But he always comes back, gets off of the shelf.
And he always changes and makes her confused
And she always feels like she's being abused.
Sometimes he says he just wants to be friends.
But she always knows that she can't pretend.
And she always dreams about being with him
And he always shows how her chances are slim.
Sometimes she thinks that he is the one.
But he always has another someone.
And he always claims that his love is poor,
And she'll Never know, she'll Never be sure.

I was doing my math homework, and there was a few questions: Tell whether the statement is Sometimes, Always, or Never true. And then it proceded to give really obvious and dumb statements. So, yep. That's that.

Math is inspiring
I think you have an excellent poem here, and that fact that it was inspired by your math homework is brilliant. The use of the Sometimes Always pattern is very effective, and makes the end use of Never have that much more impact.

I loved this......I remember that at one point in my life, I thought this every day...I never knew what to think....but then the guy that I thought this about told me he wanted to be with me....it's a long story, but anyhow, great write.
