Diamond Dragon

Walking down the steepest mountain
The path twists to much along peak
So the way inside is found, the cave in
The lady in white is to angry to seek

Inside their are amazing things
Fountains of pure gold, heating the cold,
But there is a creature with black wings
The predator in stories untold

It moves to fast to be seen, just beneath
The caves in the mountain are his doors
There is a tangible shadow in his breath
It seems a great wizard of terrible wars

Slipping by it is strange to see
What happened to the gold fountains?
All I see noe are cages for something free
The song of something beautiful refrains

A dragon of pure diamond casts its shadow here
In the complete darkness it is almost invisible
In its cage there it shows its great fear
Its mightly legs shake and look unstable

He waits for a powerfully simple promise
And that is why the other rules the mountain, now rage
He waits for the phone call as he bangs his fist
Waiting for her to come and free him from the cage

I stole some metaphors from Luthien, but I thought they were cool. Hope someone likes it
