I think I'm about to lose
the one person who made thinks right
what fate's telling me, I must refuse
I can't allow you to leave one early summer night
My deepest fear coming true
pain searing through me
my hands shake when I come near you
and all I want is for you to see
You mean the world to me and everyone here
so please don't leave, don't leave from this place
you're heading for a world of all my fears
please look at me, look at my face
I'm telling you I would save you from it all
if you would only let me in, you can't go
you could die, your name, inscribed on a wall
of soldiers, you'll be the first name I know
I hate to think this way, I hate for you to see
me in this wretched state, but I can't help but cry
don't leave me, I understand it's a soldier you want to be
I know it's you duty, you want to soar high
And I know you love Israel and everything there
I do as well, but you may never return
and I may never smile again, in complete despair
I'm praying for a good turn-
out of this war, that everything will turn to peace
even though in the depths of my heart
I know, it won't, please just let the fighting cease
I can't bare to lose you, my heart
Will collapse in agony, all hope will die
and nothing will ever be the same, please stay
don't sign away your life, where you will lie
in a patch of desert, with bullets flying this and that way
My deepest fear coming true
pain searing through me
my hands shake when I come near you
and all I want is for you to see
I can't lose you.
