Angels,
You know where I lie.
Alone I wander into
The darkening night.
All my life, long since faded.
Pages of who I was
Torn and grayed.
And all along,
The voices drift on,
Sacrificing,
Innocence.
Satan,
You stalk my trek.
Through the valley
Of mine own providence.
All my dreams, long since gone
Provoking my actions
and insolence.
Never was I sold,
All the future might hold.
And I was,
Innocent.
You know where I lie.
Alone I wander into
The darkening night.
All my life, long since faded.
Pages of who I was
Torn and grayed.
And all along,
The voices drift on,
Sacrificing,
Innocence.
Satan,
You stalk my trek.
Through the valley
Of mine own providence.
All my dreams, long since gone
Provoking my actions
and insolence.
Never was I sold,
All the future might hold.
And I was,
Innocent.
Author notes
Kind of a creative form of work. I suggest you got to a lyrics site and read the lyrics for the song "Innocent" by Fuel, before you comment. I tried to follow along their path and create something else. I think I did alright, but I'm open to any suggestions you would have.
Thank you again for reviewing my work.

Beautifully written piece, short, well worded, flowing and thought provoking. Angel of death is always present I think, we taunt the spirit every in everything we do. *hug*s and best wishes always... ~Genie~
