The world has many evils,
Death, pain and jealousy.
They come to take the light from life,
And leave you standing cold.
You live through life,
With the devil on your back.
Waiting to spot your weakness,
Then leaping out and striking.
You come out shivering,
The world has passed to darkness.
You can not find a way to escape,
Your lost in the mist of misery.
Food has lost it's taste,
The good things have flown away.
The tunnel continues, no end.
Your caught in the claws of death.
As evil comes to take you,
To the point of no return.
A light flickers in the distance.
Drives back the blackness.
A path is layed before you,
You can see the world again.
The life is full of love once more,
And the light shines about you,
That light is me.
So take my hand and hold on tight,
Together we can be strong.
Brave the thunder and the stormy seas,
Drive out the dark, bring out the sun.
And even when I am gone.
And all you have is a memory.
Remember the warm touch on your hand.
Remember the feeling,
Of my heart entwined with yours.
