Unable to determine just what they may stem from
Nothing but greys and darks to deal with
Candelit flickerings becoming demons
Essential to light, cannot be without it
Revelations found in unfocused staring
Time stands still as the shadow seems movement
Another illusion that makes your heart skip
In fear of the unknown or what may come from it
Nothing is there but your imagination's wandering
Silently waiting as the light grows stronger
Holding on to the last piece of the dark
Asserting the balance between light and
Darkness, one more face of shade
Opening up the most basic impulses
Without light, there can be no
Silent shade fear
Author notes
I was trying to get at the balance between light and darkness, and the fear darkness causes.

Another acrostic! Isn't it interesting how people are afraid of the dark, yet without the light they love we wouldn't know what darkness was. Weird, people are so weird. Great, wonderful, fantastic, marvelous write!
