Harvest time is here again
All the plants will soon be gone
Sensa Bud is some wicked reefer
Give thanks to wind, sun, and the rain
This batch smells like a skunk in a jar
Come on Davey...Don't fear the reefer
Take it from my hand... Don't fear the reefer
Just give it a try... Don't fear the reefer
I got it from the man...
When my time is done
Your here, and I'll be gone
Roll your own and don't forget
You owe it all to me...
Roll your own and don't forget
40,000 stoner's smoke each day...Twist a spleef to escape reality
40,000 others join us everyday...Burning holes in their upholstery
Another 40,000 regulars... Get stoned in support of the family
Come on Davey... Don't fear the reefer
Take it from my hand...Don't fear the reefer
Take a toke and hold it in...Exhale when I count to three
Davey your the man
Can't smoke another one
You'll be geeking when I'm gone
I happened to witness last nights madness
It was obvious you'd discovered the bong
The door flew open and pizza appeared
Not a word was spoken it had disappeared
Then the man unexpectedly showed
Demanding to be paid
Come on Davey... Now's the time to be afraid
As we ran away form him... I think heard Davey cry
We at back at him...He said prepare to die
We'd stashed the weed in a cookie jar
Dude had a Gloch Nine in his hand
I knew we would never reach the car
Come on Davey... Please don't keep the reefer

I'm hampered by not knowing the song that you parody, that is why a link to the lyrics would have been handy.
It sounds like whatever the song is about, it gave you the munchies! So what did we learn? Mainly to FEAR the reefer!

You didn't say what you were parodying but fortunately I could tell it was, Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear The Reaper." Sometimes my being old pays off.
Of course now when I think of BOC I think of the cowbell skit on Saturday Night Live.
It's definitely different, and a theme I remember from my youth, the pot culture I mean...hey, you smoke the weed, ya gotta pay the man...and I guess that goes for everything in life.

Wow, this is a powerful piece. I didn't expect it to end the way it did. Thank you for directing me to it.

Good write. It's sad that some people are addicted to this stuff. I think it's important that people in addicts lives confront people and try to help them with their problem. I was working with someone back in October who had a crack problem, from what I heard from another co-worker, but that was after he had gotten fired. I wish I had known before because I would have talked to him about it. anyway, good write and good luck in the contest.
