“They” were coming. I wasn’t sure who “they” were, only that I was terrified of them. Running didn’t help; if my speed increased so did the length of the shadows behind, my legs felt weak as though filled with jelly and glue.
Everyone was dead; I survived but was it worth saving myself just to be alone? Still I tried to run, suddenly I lost my footing, tumbling down an abyss of black fear “they” following rapidly, just before reaching the bottom my eyelids flickered, and I found my self staring into the morning light. Thank God!! Only a nightmare.

hmmm
I would space the paragraphs. It makes this stuff easier to read and easier to understand.
Anyways, what a cool twist at the end. Gotta love those frightening dream sequences.
