I scream inside my head
Knowing I should tell you
How I feel, wanting to be
So much more for you, but
I hide, too afraid of what
Your reaction might be
A grab of the hand is so
Close, but my fingers clinch
Making a fist, lingering in place
As I yell in my mind to just
Reach out and hold
Being mesmerized by your
Eyes, amazing personality
I don't want to hide anymore
I try so hard, yet I don't
Accomplish what I want
But I know, one day I will
Finally give up on being shy
No longer afraid to tell you
What I want you to hear...
