Poet: Finder of Forgotten Dreams

I have no duty but
to see the things that you
may have seen today or
yesterday, tomorrow-
Dreams that will never come.

Dreams that will never come,
and spread their will across
some barren, fruitless land.
Dreams finished before their
beginnings- left to die.

Dreams finished before their beginnings- left to die. Being a linear thinker, this makes me ponder as well as wonder. I like the words although I'm not sure I understand.

      Hmmm...

Maybe it will help if I clarify?

I'm implying that before the dreams were even given a chance, they were shot down.

      Thanks for the comment!

Its a thought provoking write and I believed it worked out quite well, although I feel compelled to say that I have heard the line "barren, fruitless land" so many times before. That, I think, is my only peeve with this. Thanks for sharing with AP
