you in my arms, a truly perfect reflection.
Believing the moment as we stand and stare,
thinking back in time wishing we were there.
OH! How I want to go back to that place,
you in my arms as I look upon your face.
Escaping from the horrors for a little while,
finding that comfort as I made you smile.
Your head on my chest, holding you tight,
knowing that it felt so right.
Filling you with strength so you're strong,
doing what's right, I mean you no wrong.
It hurt me to see you in so much fear,
letting you know that I truly care.
Getting lost in the pure bliss,
feeling the passion of your kiss.
Bringing you peace in what I say,
I know I'll never forget that day.
Although we know that day is gone,
we reflect back cause it's there we belong.

Author notes
Chuck is the only man who would play in the park with me, pick flowers and push me on the swings. He helped me so much in the beginning of my healing that I cry just to think of him. He only kissed me once and it took two years of knowing him before he tried. He is in prison for the next five years and I miss him.
this refers to a day a few years ago when i was petrified to leave my house. he actually got me to go to dominoes to pick up pizza. he stood and told me that when i was afraid of the world to look in the mirror and remember him behind me, to feel the love shown and catch it as it rolled back. then he quoted, from memory, the most awesome poem i have ever heard.
I am sending him all comments on this write.
