We shared a body,
we lived together,
for nine months as one,
I felt so snug next to you,
although we hadn't met,
our journey had just begun,
I can hear your voice,
altough it's a distant blurr,
it sounds so comforting,
a preview of the love I'll recieve,
ugh oh!
now your body is telling me that I must leave,
as I draw my first breath and open my eyes,
I can see my mother,
and the tears that she cries,
But now I am much older,
almost a woman myself,
even though we are now two instead of one,
I have so much admiration and love for you inside,
It wouldn't fill up the sun,
although we don't always see eye to eye,
I will always be proud to say that you are a mother,
and your mine.

I can realte to these lines as being a mother and as being a daughter also.. the flow and rhythm are so smooth and full of love... well done!!
