Wow, this is so strong and I really like the style you have used. Not only does it read well but it looks fantastic on the page. Governments are all the same even in Northern Ireland, believe me. I loved this piece. The language was simple yet very, very powerful and the imagery profound. Well done and many thanks for entering my contest. Good luck.

    Welcome to Monopoloy!

This is really great, a Cinquain Chain!  And what a message you gave with one vital green property, Pennsylvania Avenue! And so witty, you used the Old Shoe to tell about the misuse and unconcern of those who sit in power, on the real street. This is really a wonderful entry, and a very pertinent statement for these times. Well done!

Thank you for your entry and good luck in the contest!

    My dearest Uncle,

How true your words!!!!!! If there is one person that can afford todays gas prices, I have yet to meet them! And trying to keep clothes on my son, who just keeps growing and don't want to stop, is well, hard enough, then you have to go and add food for the bellies. Good grief, where does it end?!? I have yet to figure it out!!

But any ways you have done a great job on this one!!
Keep that pen flowing!! Best of luck in the contest!

Oh, I think it is wonderful. It is what came to your mind, O Poet.

I go to Pennsylvania Avenue a couple times a year, but sit in the National Archives. I sift through things such as you wrote about, but do not even turn my head for a peek at that house 6 blocks down. The stories that unfold before me are much more interesting, and tales such as you write about, need to be told.
