Mental Crisis

My thoughts are big
But my body is small
I try to escape
but just hit the wall

If knowing our fate
makes us divine
Then why's all i want
To escape my mind?

So terrible and black
Big and bleak it is
So tender and sweet
all-encompassing: my fears

I try to focus
I try to hold on
How will I stay together
I struggle to move on

This emptiness inside
It tears me to shreds
and each little tear
emerges from eyes dead

I cannot see the light
No matter how I try
They ask me if I'm fine
So of course - I lie...

Author notes

My ravings when I was in a particularly dark and despairing mood.

    i love it

it holds a ton of deep emotion. i can feel it all the way through. the poem is so sure of the concept of despndence and beats it in over and over again. it is powerful and heavy; a wonderful work. the poem really goes inside what you feel.it is provocotive and makes the reader see through your eyes which is the best feat a poet can acheive. amazing job. great poem.
