Lillian we fight together

I turned my back on god,
Fallen from grace
The journey left me cut and aching
Doubts danced all around me
I am a woman, strong in my beliefs
Is that a sin?
And then I saw it, there on the barren beach
Sin in all it’s tempting beauty
Surprised and entranced I reached for it
And it came to me.

Author notes

This poem is about experinces I think we all have had in faith of anything. If anybody has ever heard the bible mytholgy about the first first woman Lillian you would understand the connection of this story.

Please give me as much constructive critism as possible, I'm new at this and I want to grow.

wow interesting... I would like to discuss with you the whole deal with sin... lets see how do I put it... Like chancellor palpatine said in star wars "good is a point of view" (I love relating my explanations to star wars... sorry I know im a dork)... but anyways... since good is a point of view sin is also included... for diferent cultures sin can be defined diferently... which leads us to the point... how can we decide if our perception of sin is the correct one? the answer is: "we cant" ding ding dong! we really can't. we can just hope that they way we were proggramed (you might have noticed that I like using the word 'proggramed' its my way of saying weve been taught or basically forced to learn with out realizing it)... but yeah returning to your author notes, the bible does teach a lot of 'good' lessons however we just got to be able to pick and choose which we follow... (please don't think me ignorant. My mother took my brother and I to church a lot when we wer kids... so some things do stick)... well you mean the whole creation story right? Adam and Eve? Well I guess I can tell you a little about my religion... well I don't really have a religion, I believe in Ra though. And he basically wants us to be good citizens. A little of Ra's words "Ra promotes pascience,Ra also admires boldness" wow my comments do run a little long don't they? hahaha I guess I like expressing myself... (which can either be a good thing or bad)... Anyways nice interpretation of things... I could have said that in the beginning and saved you all the time reading my crap hahaha sorry...

No, not adam and eve. There is a story, I think mabey its jewish about a women before eve. She refused to lie on her back and and me submisive to adam. God pretty much said that if she woulden't do that for Adam than she should leave. SHe did and she ended up hooking up with Satan and spawning all the demons of the world. Even though she was potrayed as a villon I saw her as a strong women. I could relate to her becouse as a child I would be in church feeling so evil becouse I was questioning things that were in the bible. Eventually I learned that the bible is not the only way to god or vishnu, or Ra, or however else you see that force.

I agree with you about sin to a point. I belive that there is good and bad and a nuetral balance of both. But I also belive that good and bad is not black and white as the bible seems to suggest and that evrything is situational and depends on the person. THats why I rely on prayer, reflection, and meditation for my answers in life.

HAHA, notice I write a lot as well?
