Steel Heart

Liquid metal, luster of fire,
The onslaught of countless lives,
Have formed this so called,
Steel heart.

Solid chambers of metallic grey,
Surround the molten lava,
That dwells in the depths of my being,
Sheltered by iron is the beat of my,
Steel heart.

Explosions cannot pierce,
Something that is not really there.
In the chambers of the hollow,
Space in my,
Steel heart.

Blood does not course through this tool,
Of utter distortion,
So shudders my mind,
In my,
Steel heart.

Rings are the bindings that keep me intact,
The soul is but a power cell,
Operated by a plutonium battery,
Shelled, split, and reattached,
My heart is but a steel trap,
Emotions are what makes it beat,
In my vast,
Steel heart.

The love that we share,
Is what melts the steel flesh?
Away from the corners of my heart,
A battery is no longer needed,
Love is what drives on my,
Steel heart.

Please tell me what you think
