I want something that will save the world by storm
that will tear the heart from your chest and make you whole
But I can't seem to reach it from here, in this world behind my eyes
so I fear the most fearsome things, because I can't seem to make this right

Would you care to know the heart it me in its fullness? To see the depths of my soul? Then, my fellow poet, you set yourself a long journey to traverse. There is much to learn, and if I have realized one thing in this life it is that it takes a lifetime to know a person.
And that, I suppose, is what this poem about. I have set for myself the goal of knowing one other's heart, and this is the most succinct way I can put the longing of my soul.
