That all those sappy love lines were lies,
That all those times I said my feeling wouldn't change,
I lied, because they already had,
What if I said,
Every "rumor" you heard were true,
What if I came clean,
And told you about all the hours I spent with him,
All the times I lied,
How I never really knew what I wanted,
Would you be able to love,
Would you be able to trust,
Now you see why,
I have such a hard time trusting,
And I know I love you,

Indeed, the "what ifs" of our life could really change everything! It is really difficult sometimes to completely put your trust on someone... Poem nicely done!

I like the way this twisted toward the end...I would encourage you to love anyway...Loving is your gift to yourself...I learned recently (finally) that there is no pain great enough to justify holding myself back from love...It is always worth it...You are worth it! peace and light, Kendal
